Rufus -ADOPTED
This gorgeous 24 kilo big, playful boy is full of happiness and delight. He only wishes for company, love and someone to play ball with him.
Rufus has a beautiful and loving nature but could do with some training on the lead. He travels well in the car and is completely house trained, he has maintained a perfect record in his foster carers’ home.
He loves his toys and particularly enjoys playing ball and tearing the stuffing out of soft toys. He is very friendly to all he meets, two and four legged but can also be shy and unsure in new situations.
His current foster family have two cocker spaniels and work from home, he has adjusted very quickly with their family. It would be favourable for his forever home to have another dog for him to play with and a family who is active and spends a lot of time at home and is prepared to walk and play with Rufus regularly. He is very relaxed boy and would prefer to be inside with you and would love a big backyard to run and play around. He would be very sad if he couldn’t sleep close to where you are.
Rufus responds well to both men and women and is good with children however, we don’t recommend he live with very small children as he is a large boy and with his enthusiasm he could easily knock a small child over.
He shows no signs at all of aggression when feeding in fact, you have to encourage him to eat breakfast and dinner. He is a big for a spaniel and is pure delight but please be aware he is a mix breed and not a full spaniel. When he looks at you with his sweet eyes you will simply melt and forget his size.
Rufus will make a house a home but If you are not prepared for big spaniel mix who comes with kisses and cuddles, then Rufus isn’t for you.
